Fiona's 'Restore' week, which I took back in March, totally re-energised my self care routine. It gave me a chance to review and tweek certain practices to suit my changing needs, and I was inspired to discover new ones to make my own too. I particularly loved the emphasis on gut health. Sipping morning lemon water, eating less carbs, sprinkling milled flax.... and the list goes on.. taking a 'super green' supplement, intermittent fasting, giving myself a belly massage.... all these feel like a conscious act of self kindness which are now deeply rooted into my daily self care routine, because I know they work for me right now; I can feel the difference they make to my energy levels and vitality overall.

The 'Restore' detox with the fabulous Fiona Smith was an absolute delight. Hi, I'm Fiona

I'm your coach & guide for the week, so I want to share just a little of my journey with you.

My journey in listening to my body began after a burnout in my late 20s. I'd been in a terrible relationship and working crazy hours in film production services. I was in constant pain after a viral infection and only knew that I needed to change EVERYTHING. My contract was suddenly terminated after 9/11 and I decided to go and do something completely different.

That decision took me to a remote hilltribe village in northern Thailand, where I began to study meditation, yoga and Thai massage. It was there, removed from all distractions, that I realised just how disconnected I'd become from my body.

And I knew that for me, the way in was my way forward. That was over 20 years ago, and since then I've been learning, teaching and growing. Now, I'm a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, Coach & Therapist, living with my family (and dog!) in Copenhagen, Denmark. I'm deeply passionate about supporting women to create their own deeper connection with their body, health and wellbeing.

When we slow life down a little and listen, we release old stories, patterns and trauma and create the space, confidence, courage and ENERGY to step into the life we want to create for ourselves.

Can I do this course if I'm pregnant or breastfeeding?

You can definitely follow all the classes and exercises to calm the nervous system, declutter the mind and create space and purpose. You can also learn about what foods support your liver, brain and hormones so you can generally eat more healthily. However, you should not reduce or restrict meals whilst pregnant or breastfeeding.

Will I have time to follow the course if I'm working or have kids?

The short answer is YES! Many women have successfully completed this course by following the detox diet and the classes whilst working full-time, or taking care of children and have felt huge benefit. All the daily classes are recorded so you can watch them when it best fits your schedule. Though the more you can simplify your life and create space for yourself during these 7 days, the more you'll feel the positive effects. Think of it as a home retreat! 

How long will I have access to the course materials?
