But now they’re stuck, like grooves in a scratched record and they keep you replaying your past in the present, in a state of ‘maladaptive stress’ – which is a state of constant alert (fight-flight) and/ or freeze.

Learn how to calm the mind, so the ‘fight-flight’ centre of the brain (the amygdala) stops sending stress signals to the body.
Learn the foundations of polyvagal theory – understand the fight-flight-freeze response and how your body and mind responds to and stores stress.

I’ve worked 1:1 with clients in a body-mind therapeutic setting for over 20 years. When I was teaching yoga, I knew that often the ‘good work’ was only being done for an hour or so a week and much as yoga is a wonderfully healthy habit, it wasn’t helping clients to shift their mindset or change behaviours in all the other hours of their week – it was helping to manage symptoms but not heal them at their roots.
The experience was similar with my bodywork clients – they felt amazing after the sessions and that would last for a while and then the deep patterns meant the symptoms often returned.
And for some clients, receiving bodywork – touch – is something they’re not quite ready for.
So, I found the missing links and created a program that acknowledges and works with all of our lived experience as women in today's world.

Many clients come to somatic work having 'tried everything’ – and often list the talking therapies they’ve tried (e.g. CBT or traditional psychotherapy) which have had limited success in helping with thoughts and behaviours, but haven’t resolved the physical and emotional distress, pain or disconnect they are experiencing.

I’m a RYT yoga teacher, Thai Massage therapist and teacher, Myofascial Release Therapist, Somatic Coach, SSP (Safe & Sound Protocol) Provider, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) and have almost 3 decades of lived experience of detox and fasting processes, as well as professional experience supporting Detox retreats worldwide.
More than my professional experience, though, I have developed RESET & THRIVE through my lived experience of healing viral overload and burnout, staying regulated and sane as a single parent, adapting & thriving to life as an Expat in 3 different countries and understanding how important it is to understand and respect my body’s wisdom going through perimenopause.
After 20 years of body-mind practice and over 50 of simply being alive in a body, learning how to regulate my Nervous System and understanding how it influences our emotions, brain health, thought processes, hormones, sleep and creativity & joy gives me the deep foundations of a practice for LIFE that I bring to you with RESET & THRIVE.
